As a user with a Document Controller role, you can create a signature request.

  1. In the Internal Communication feature set, select Create Signature Request.

  2. Enter the information as required in the New Signature Request page.

  3. Navigate to the next page, and add the documents you want to attach to the request.

  4. Click FINISH, and the submitter gets a Submit signature request task in their To Do List.

  • The submitter gets the Update missing documents or files task in their To Do List if any of the attached documents do not have any files. To resolve, attach one or more files to the documents and retry.

  • The submitter gets the Update missing/incorrect signers email address task in their To Do List if any of the signers' email address is empty or incorrect. To resolve, update the signer's email address and retry.

  • The submitter gets the Resolve file size on signature request task in their To Do List if the cumulative size of the files attached to the signature request exceeds the size limit specified in the DocuSign connection details. To resolve, replace the files with smaller resized files and retry.

  • The submitter gets the Signature request correct failure task in their To Do List if the system fails to generate renditions for one or more files. For more information, see Correct PDF rendition generation failures.
