What does a deliverable milestone include?
Deliverable milestones help track the progress of documents or deliverable items,
and their issue purpose, that a contractor submits. A deliverable milestone includes
the following information:
-
Issue purpose - Specifies a single reason for sending a document.
-
Planned issue date - Specifies the date on which the actual revision of a deliverable item for a specific
issue purpose is scheduled to be sent by the contractor.
-
Receipt date - Specifies the date on which the document review workflow starts for a specific
issue purpose.
-
Issue date - Specifies the revision issue date for the deliverable item for a specific issue
purpose.
-
Issued revisions - Specifies all the revisions of a deliverable item.
-
Review Status - Specifies if the revision of a deliverable item is in review or completed.
-
Reviewed revision - Specifies the latest reviewed revision of a deliverable item.
-
Date returned - Specifies the date on which the document sent for a review was returned.
-
Return code - Specifies the current state of the review set by the consolidator for the deliverable
item for a specific issue purpose.
When is a deliverable milestone created?
When a deliverable is created as part of a Master Document Register submittal, the
software creates a progress deliverable milestone for the deliverable item. The deliverable
milestone stores the planned and receipt dates of the deliverables for the issue purposes
along with the review completion information, such as review status, date returned,
and return code.
You can search for planned documents that have been submitted and determine when they
should become available to you based on the planned dates and issue purpose.
Every deliverable item can be issued for multiple issue purposes. Examples of issue
purposes include Issued for review (IFR) or Issued for construction (IFC). Each issue
purpose has its own milestone, but only one milestone is created for a deliverable
item for a given issue purpose. In addition, planned dates and actual dates are stored
on the deliverable milestone. This allows you to track the progress of contractors
by seeing when items are planned and when the items were actually delivered.
-
In the Documents feature set, select the type of documents to find; for example, Engineering Documents.
-
Click Actions on a deliverable item and then click Show Deliverable Milestone.
The deliverable milestones track the planned date for a given issue purpose and the
delivery against that milestone including the revisions issued at that issue purpose.
