This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Create a work package (modified in an update).

  1. In the Work Packages feature set, select Create <Type of Work Package> Work Packages.

  2. Complete the required information.

    • If you are creating an inspection or maintenance work package, select an Approver role, and use the Approver user box to search for approvers to add to your workflow.

    • If you are creating a CBS work package, select the Is Progress Item? check box to track the progress of documents based on the issue purpose.

  3. Select:

    • Prepare Content to send the work package to the Prepare Content step. This step allows you to update the work package with related documents, drawings, tags, and comments. For more information, see Prepare the content.

    • Finish to either send the work package for approval, or to complete the step.

The work package is created with the Status set to Planned. The Status is updated to Active when the workflow completes or you can manually update it to Closed, Executed, or Approved as required.
