You can create a geotag and add it to a laser scan image using a HxGN SDx object, such as tag (or any supported Hexagon software object). Adding the geotag to the laser scan creates a relationship between each TruView object created in the Leica TruView Enterprise or Cloud and each HxGN SDx object.
To create and add a geotag to the laser scan image, do the following:

In the Web Client home page, click Laser Scans > Scans.

In the Scans search results page, select and click a laser scan to add a geotag.

In the Laser Scan Viewer page, click ADD GEOTAG to open the Add GeoTag window.

In the Add GeoTag window,

Click Search Tags tab to create a geotag using either the pinned object tags or any object tag by doing as follows:

Select the Pinned Tags and click the Search bar to search and select a tag from the pinned object tags list.

Select the All Tags and click on the Search bar to search and select a tag from the list of object tags present in the database.

Click to select the tag from the search results list.
In the search results list, tags which are related to current laser scan image are represented by .

Choose a location in the laser scan image, and click the location to add the tag to the laser scan.
To un-select the picking mode, click Select .

In the Add GeoTag window, click Tags on scan to view the list of tags related to the current laser scan image.

Before you add a pinned tag to the laser scan, you must pin the required object tags to the Pinboard.

Based on the selected object tag type, the Search bar displays the tag count in the database. However, the search results list displays the top 100 tags from the database.
