Display site configuration settings (retired)

The Tools > Diagnostic Tools > Site Configuration Settings command displays a window containing basic technical information about the site's configuration service, including:

  • the site's server version number and physical location.

  • a listing of the site's configuration property values.

  • database configuration settings.

  • any error or warning conditions returned during the diagnostic scan.

The text within the window can be selected and copied onto the Clipboard for pasting into another application, such as the body of an email message.

Display version information (retired)

The Tools > Diagnostic Tools > Version Information command displays a window containing basic technical information about the site, including:

  • the site's server version number and physical location.

  • the version and physical location of the supporting site services (such as the cache, configuration, and license services).

  • technical information about the library files (DLLs) of each service.

The text within the window can be selected and copied onto the Clipboard for pasting into another application, such as the body of an email message.

Display active server requests (retired)

The Tools > Diagnostic Tools > Active Server Requests command displays a window containing a list of the requests fulfilled by the local server.

The information returned includes:

  • UserName - User who executed the API request

  • HostName - Name of the computer or device that originated the request

  • Server API Name - Name of the API that was requested

  • Start Time - Time and date when the request was initiated

The text within the window can be selected and copied onto the Clipboard for pasting into another application, such as the body of an email message.

Test database connection (retired)

  1. Right-click a site node, and select Test Database Connection.

    SHARED Tip You can also select the site and click the toolbar button or click Database > Test Database Connection.

  2. A message displays the state of your database connection.

Display Data Capture diagnostic results (retired)

The Data Capture Diagnostics utility verifies the status of the product installation and identifies any problems with the site that might affect the use of Data Capture.

  1. Expand the site node.

  2. Right-click the site's Settings node, and click Tools > Diagnostic Tools > Data Capture Diagnostics.
