The HxGN SDx® data model represents the core data stored by the product and is the foundation for data models, such as:
-
The Facilities Data Warehouse, for handover and operations
-
SDx modules, such as SDx Projects, built on top of the SDx data model
-
The CFIHOS model, for handover from offline contractors
SDx is designed to accurately reflect the industry work processes but is agile enough to let you tailor it your specific needs. While previous data models use the same schema components to define data and relationships (class, interface, and relationship definitions), the SDx data model takes further advantage of that structure. For more information see Configure the data model.
SDx provides functionality useful throughout the lifecycle of the project, but also provides the basis for additional modules that provide features and capabilities specific to more granular phases of the project.
The Facilities Data Warehouse model
Along with the SDx Core, the SDx environment includes the Facilities Data Warehouse (FDW) model. The FDW model is the operations data model that defines documents, as well as tags and assets for which data is stored.
The SDx Projects model
Included is the Projects model, which consists of the Collaboration model and parts of the Smart Digital Asset model. The SDx Projects model defines all the elements that are needed for the collaboration processes, such as submittals, contracts, technical queries, and so forth
The SDx Operations model
Also included is the SDx Operations model, which consists of elements that support Operations work processes, including data books and management of change objects.
The CFIHOS Model
Also delivered along with SDx Core, is the CFIHOS model. This model consists of a large spectrum of additional properties that can be used on tags, assets, and models, as well as documents. The CFIHOS model makes use of the common reference data in the SDx Core, such as the facilities breakdown structures. Much of the CFIHOS model has been mapped or onboarded as part of the SDx Core model, such as tags, assets, documents, and units.
The various models are combined into one overall model, meaning they are all delivered in one SDx database.
