Force Refresh to update graphics in a Smart 3D model - HxGN SDx2 - November 2025 - Troubleshooting - Hexagon

You must have the System Administrator role to use this feature.

Problem

Users viewing a Hexagon 3D model streamed from the VDS into the GVC viewer, cannot get the latest data after selecting the Refresh command, or users viewing this error:

# graphic(s) still processing

Cause

The Refresh command only works if an administrator has run Force Refresh.

Solution

The Force Refresh command resets the treeLifespan display setting and updates the 3D model, enabling the Refresh command for your users.For more information about the treeLifespan setting, see display.

To do this:

1. Log on with the System Administrator role.

2. View the applicable 3D View Filter that needs to be refreshed.

3. Select Force Refresh from the menu bar.

The Refresh command reduces viewing performance since this re-runs the workspace query that creates the graphic tree structure.
