In this lab, you will learn how to create a change order.

  1. In Smart Build Controls, navigate to Changes > Changes.

  2. From the Actions list, select Create New Change.

  3. In the Create New Change dialog box, enter the details as shown in the graphic below.

  4. In the Change ID column, click the hyperlink.

  5. In the window below, click .

  6. In the Object Path ID column, select the ID of level 4 columns and type the cost details, start date end date, and time phasing curve as shown in the graphic below.

  7. Click SAVE.

  8. From the Actions list, select Time-Phase Unapproved Change.

  9. In the Time-Phase Unapproved Change dialog box, click OK > RUN.

  10. In the top window, click Submit in the spreadsheet and refresh the page after some time.

  11. Repeat steps 2 to 9 to create another change as shown in the graphic below.

  12. Open Smart Build Insight training project and expand the Dashboard.

  13. In the Project Cost widget, notice that the Approved Budget Change and Pending Budget Change values are updated based on the changes you just made in Smart Build Insight.

  14. Open Smart Build Controls, click System Notifications on the top right corner.

  15. In the window below, expand Running, and select the entry related to the Training Project.

  16. In the window below, click Approve.

    Notice that the status of the change is updated as Approved.

  17. Open Smart Build Insight > Training Project, on the dashboard, notice that the Pending Budget Change data is now added to Approved Budget Change.
