Sometimes, new projects have the same or very similar roles, role groups, and permissions as an existing project. If so, you can quickly set up the new project by importing the roles, role groups, and permissions from the existing project then adjusting them as needed. For instructions, see Reuse the setup from another project.

On the left bar, click Administrator Settings > Permissions.

Select a project.

Expand a role group and set the permissions for a role:

Then do this
Give a permission in the group to the role
Expand the permission group and select the box for the permission you want.
For example: Expand Manage schedule items , and select Display cost information
Give all permissions in the permission group to the role
Select the box for the permission group you want.
Remove a permission in the group from the role
Clear the box for the permission or the permission group.
Remove all permissions in the group from the role
