When you click the Virtual Directory link in the Admin Utility, the Manage Virtual Directory Settings window displays. This window allows you to configure the virtual directory, folder permissions, and more for the Integrity web interface.

To configure the web application:

  1. In the Admin Utility, select Virtual Directory.

  2. Use Site Name and Port to select a site and port for the Integrity web interface, or use the default web site and port 80.

  3. In Application Name, type the name for the virtual directory to be used by IIS for user access to Integrity. This field defaults to the product name (Integrity). If Integrity is in multiple database mode, this field is unavailable and it must match the database name.

  4. If needed in your environment, enter the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the secure web server in Host Name (for example, ServerName.DomainName.com).

If you integrate with PAS Dashboard or PlantState Integrity, ensure that the web server host name matches in all product configuration settings. For example, if you use the FQDN in the Integrity Admin Utility, also use the FQDN in the Dashboard configuration settings.

  5. If you want to use a secure connection (HTTPS), select Use a Secure connection and ensure that IIS is configured for https support.

If you integrate with PAS Dashboard or PlantState Integrity, ensure that web server connections match in all product configuration settings. For example, if you select to use a secure connection in the Integrity Admin Utility, also select to use a secure connection in the Dashboard configuration settings.

  6. Note the URL for users to access Integrity. The URL is the server name and the virtual directory name, such as http://Server/VirtualDirectory.

  7. Select Yes for Set permissions to grant the permissions necessary for the ASP.NET account to access the virtual directory.

  8. If you select No for Set permissions, you need to manually set the virtual directory permissions appropriately. For Integrity to run properly, permissions must be granted to the virtual directory for the account associated for running IIS. Integrity fills in NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE for this account name by default. This account is referred to as the ASP.NET worker process account, and it must be entered in Account name on this window.

If your company security policies require that the accounts provided by the .NET Framework be disabled or deleted, create a system account that has the following permissions:

    • Read and Write permission on the Integrity application (Integrity) folder.

    • Read and Write permissions on the Reports folder on the same level as the Integrity application folder. The Reports folder does not exist until a report is run from the Integrity web interface.

  9. Click Save.
