You can open multiple data files in order to view the differences and similarities between different versions of the files. You can also save a copy of the comparison report.

Before you open a data file set, you must open a schema or a file configuration that contains a schema.

Open the Data File Set

  1. Click File > Open > Data File Set.

  2. Click Add Files from .txt File to add a set of files that are listed in a plain text file.

The text file must contain the full path to the file you want to add. Separate data file paths with a return.

  3. Click Add File to add a single file to the Data file list.

  4. Highlight a data file and click Remove Selected Files to remove it from the list.

  5. Enter a name for the data file set in the Name for file set field.

  6. Click OK.

View the Data File Set

  1. Click View > Data File Set.

  2. In the View Data File Set dialog box, click OK.

You can use the Compare with File command to compare the data file sets. For more information, see Compare Files.
