The Integrated Map Environment in the Schema Editor lets you map, view, and manage objects that are mapped into (publish) and out of (retrieve) the SmartPlant schema from tool map schemas. The Integrated Map Environment user interface visually represents tool map schemas and the SmartPlant schema in a table view to efficiently see the various schema definitions of different applications at one time. Color-coding provides a quick look into which schemas are completely mapped and which schemas require more mapping. The two-panel view consists of a left panel that displays all open tool map schemas in a table view and a right panel for detailed schema editing.

Mapping Table User Interface

The left panel of the Integrated Map Environment contains the Mapping Table, which is used to display objects and their current mapping status for all open tool map schemas. From this panel, you can modify entire enumerated lists. You can use the panel on the right to modify the individual enumerations within the enumerated lists. For example, using the Mapping Table, you can create an integration enumerated list from a map enumerated list, or create a map enumerated list from an integration enumerated list.

The auto-correlate command in the Mapping Table automatically correlates unmapped map enumerated lists with an existing integration enumerated list. You can also mark or unmark map enumerated lists as "Not to be mapped" individually or in bulk.

The Show command above the Mapping Table switches between Map Enumerated Lists and Map UoM Lists in the Mapping Table panel.

MapEnvironmentGUI

You can filter schema objects by tool schema and mapping status with the Filter Rows (mapping status) and Filter Columns (tool schema) commands. For more information, see Filter the Mapping Objects in the Map Environment.

The different colors used in the Mapping Table indicate whether or not a value is mapped completely. For a full explanation of the color schemes, see Map Environment Color Legend, or click Legend above the Mapping Table.

Edit Form and MultiMap User Interface

The right panel contains the Edit Form user interface and the MultiMap user interface. These interfaces are used for detailed graphical mapping and viewing. The commands in the right panel are similar to the commands in the Mapping Table, but work on an individual enumeration level instead of entire enumerated lists.

The Edit Form tab displays the same options available in the Edit command for the object that was last selected in the Mapping Table. The functionality available in the Edit Form depends on the type of object selected.

EditForm

For more information on the Edit Form user interface, see Map Publish and Retrieve Properties in a Graphical View.

The MultiMap tab contains a table similar to the Mapping Table, but displays the individual enumerations within the list selected in the Mapping Table. The area below the enumerations list contains a graphical display of the mapping with two or more columns to represent the publish, retrieve, and integration schema objects. These objects are connected by Relationship Lines, which visually represent the mapping relationships between the objects. You can use shortcut menu commands and drag-and-drop gestures to modify these relationships.
