  1. Click Find > MTR > Authored Register Documents, and search for the authored document or documents for which you want to create a snapshot.

  2. Right-click the authored document or documents, and click MTR > Create Snapshot.

SHARED Tip You can also click Create MTRSnapshot snapshot on the toolbar to create snapshot of selected authored document or documents.

  • When you create the first snapshot of an authored register document, the software creates and attaches new electronic files that contain the data associated with the document. When you create additional snapshots, the software creates a new version of the document and attaches updated copies of the electronic files with the current data from the database, typically .xml files with the data from the database.

  • The Create MTRSnapshot command is available only for an authored document or documents that are in the Working revision state.

  • If the tags attached to an authored register document are more than the MTRDataChunkSize set on the site Settings node, then multiple data files are generated and attached to that document. The default value for MTRDataChunkSize is 1000. Each data file can store up to 1000 tags.
