Create new plants using SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client.

Click File > New > Organization / Support Items > Plant.

In the Name box, type a name for the plant.
The name of the plant must not have any spaces before the plant name. See Plant Naming Guidelines.

In the Status box, select a status (Active or Created).

Click Finish. The new plant appears in the New Items window.

Configure the role assignments for users that need permission to create and view objects in the plant. For more information, see Create and manage role assignments.
You may skip this step if you have assigned roles to Configuration Top for all users
who need permissions to the plant.
