Open the schema, tool map schema, or data file in which you want to detect deleted items.

Click File > Compare with File and then point to the type of file you want to use as the basis for tombstone detection. For example, to compare two schemas, point to File > Compare with File > Schema File.

Click Detect Tombstones on the submenu.

Browse to the file to which you want to compare the schema, data file, or tool map schema.

After tombstone detection is complete, select the view that you want to use for the delete instructions on the View tab.

Click OK.

When you detect tombstones, only the delete instructions are displayed in the view you selected.

You can save instructions by clicking File > Save > [FileType] Instructions, where [FileType] is the type of file for which you want to save instructions. For example, to save data instructions, click Data Instructions on the Save submenu.
