Each baseline asset that you create uses the PAS Baseline asset model, not the asset model of the source asset. Therefore, viewers that are normally associated with objects in a source asset are not associated with those objects in the baseline asset. If you choose, you can make the additional viewers available for objects in the baseline hierarchy by creating the viewer association with the ObjectType in the PAS Baseline asset model. You can define this configuration in the Asset Model Development Kit. For more information, contact Technical Support.

Import the following asset models before creating baselines:

  • PAS Cyber Integrity version 1.2.0 or later

  • PAS Recon (latest version)

  • PAS Baselines version 1.6.0 or later

  • You can import most asset models by using the Admin Utility. For more information, see Loading (Importing) Asset Models. However, the PAS Baselines asset model cannot be imported using the Admin Utility. Use the Asset Model Development Kit (AMDK) to import the PAS Baselines asset model.

  • After you start creating and customizing your baselines, you should not import the PAS Baselines asset model again. The import can overwrite some of your baseline definitions. If a new PAS Baselines asset model is released, contact Technical Support to determine how to add the enhancements to your PAS Baselines asset model.

To use the AMDK to import the PAS Baselines asset model:

  1. To open the AMDK, run the following file on the Integrity server: InstallPath\DataCollector\AMDK.exe

  2. Stop the PAS services on the database server or on the primary database server if using multiple databases.

  3. Click File > Import Asset Models.

  4. Browse to InstallPath\DataCollector\Asset Models\PAS Baselines, and then click OK.

  5. Click Import.

  6. Restart PAS services after importing all asset models.

  7. Close the AMDK.
