SHARED Tip You must set Point On or End Point on the SmartSketch dialog box to draw arcs that are tangent to other elements. You can set these options by clicking SmartSketch Settings on the Tools menu.

  1. On the Draw toolbar, click FreeSketch FreeSketch.

  2. On the ribbon, set the Arc element type and clear the other element type buttons.

  3. Drag to draw an arc.

  • Adjust allows the software to adjust the geometry that you draw.

  • When Adjust is off, the software interprets the exact movements of your pointer.

  • When Adjust is on, the software interprets arcs as tangent to the connected elements. If Maintain Relationships is set, the software places relationship handles.

  • The software recognizes relationships at the start point and end point of the arc. If Maintain Relationships is set, the software places relationship handles.

  • When you set the Line and Arc element types, you can draw connected lines and arcs.

  • You can use the options on the ribbon and the commands on the shortcut menu to edit an arc.
