A load point defines the location where the software displays the profile cross-section on the member. There are 15 load points definable for a cross-section symbol, but only one at a time is used when the profile is placed.

  • A load point must be assigned multiple point names wherever required by the conventions described in Key Points.

  • Load point numbering conventions are not user-definable and must match the conventions described in Key Points.

  1. On the XSection toolbar, click Add Point Properties to open the Define Mapping Points dialog.

  2. In the Point name field, select Load Point.

  3. In the Geometry Type column, select a Point2D in the table; the corresponding point highlights in the symbol graphics view.

  4. In the Attribute setting field, type the appropriate point number or numbers.

  5. Continue until the point numbers have been assigned to all points.
