Create the symbol geometry.
Web Cut
-
On the Points layer, create a web cut point at the intersection of each bounded part line and the end cut contour.
-
Constrain each point to the intersection point of the two curves.
Flange Cut
-
On the Inputs layer, create the flange cut points along the Web_Center bounded part line. In the example, the Profile point is constrained to the intersection point of the Web_Center line and the flange cut contour (ignoring the notch for the web).
The example can be made more flexible by constraining the Profile point to the Web_Center line, but using a dimension to offset it from the end cut contour. The symbol can then be used for offset flange cuts, or for flush flange cuts by making the dimension very small (for example, 0.01 mm).
-
Dimension the points on the Dimensions layer with respect to the end cut contour and to the bounded part lines. In the example, no dimension is required for the Profile point because it is constrained by intersection.
Flange Cut points are mapped to Web Cut points. For more information, see Creating End Cuts.
