  1. Use the PDS Model Data Exporter Utility to create an import XML file.

  2. Click File > Import > PDS Import Command to display the PDS Import Dialog.

  3. Click ... next to the Import Folder/XML File box to select the XML file to use for import.

  4. Click ... next to the Mapping File box to select the XLS map workbook to use for import. See Piping Translation Map in the Smart 3D Plant Design System (PDS) Help.

  5. Optionally, select the Customize Input XML File box.

    1. Click ... next to the Output XML File box to select the output XML file path.

    2. Click Customize to select the items for selective import.

  6. Click Import to import the piping data as specified.

  7. Check the To Do List Command for items that require attention after importing.
