  1. In the Piping task, route a pipe run.

  2. Click Insert > Control Point to display the Control Point Ribbon.

  3. Select Isometric Start Point from the Subtype list.

  4. Position the control point on the open end-feature of the pipe part. To identify a precise location in the model, use commands such as Measure , PinPoint , and Point Along.

  • You must insert the control point on a pipe part and placed it on an end feature. Otherwise, the software does not use the control point as the start point during isometric extraction.

  • To use an Isometric Start Point control point as the start point, you must also set the Start Point and Use User Defined Start Point options in Isogen Configuration. For more information, see Use a user-defined start point for isometric extraction in the Isogen Isometric Drawings User's Guide. You can access this document using the Help > Printable Guides command in the software.
