Compartment volumes, ship zones, interference zones, and regions are not represented by 3D symbols, so you do not need to be concerned with 3D symbol creation and definition.
However, the Compartmentation task does use 2D symbols in the Place Volume Along Path command, when you specify a cross section. These symbols are defined in Visual Basic source code, delivered to the [Reference Data Product Folder]\SymbolIcons folder. The files in this folder are not used by Compartmentation. This project is for reference and can be used for customization purposes.
Delivered symbols include a circle, hexagon, oval, square, and so forth. Bitmaps are provided on the Symbols share, in the Symbol Icons folder.
