Another way to create a volume is by selecting plate systems or reference planes in
the model. While using Create Volume by Faces Command 
, you select the faces for the compartment. The software determines if there is any
ambiguity and if so, allows you to choose among the resulting volumes.
When you are creating a volume by faces, it is often helpful to select a specific coordinate system (grid system). The Plate Filter box on the ribbon allows you to select a grid system for this purpose. See Create a filter for a grid system.
