  • You cannot use this property if you also use the Primary/Secondary Side Nominal Throat Thickness property. If you selected check box 4, clear it to use this property.

  • The label template uses the default value, Groove Size, from the IJWeldingSymbol property.

  • To create a new label template, do the following:

  1. Create a new label in the [Reference Data Folder]\SharedContent\Drawings\Catalog\Labels\Templates\WeldSymbols folder. For information about creating labels, see Create a Label.

  2. Select the label template you just created from the Label Template list.

    The software does not include Primary Side or Secondary Side in the label template name.

  3. Click Save on the Symbol Configuration tab.

    The software updates the label template XML as shown below.

    Usage in Label Template XML

    <contentModuleSettings>

    <ID attributeName="PrimarySideGrooveSize"
    visible="1">WeldSymbols\
    Primary Side Groove Size.rtp</ID>

    <ID attributeName="SecondarySideGrooveSize"
    visible="1">WeldSymbols\
    Secondary Side Groove Size.rtp</ID>

    </contentModuleSettings>

Primary Side

Specifies the type of groove on the primary side (None, Square, V, Bevel). For the types that can have a bevel (Bevel or V) on this side, the software makes the choice between bevel or none by the presence of a non-zero bevel depth.

Secondary Side

Specifies the actual depth of penetration of the weld. This value is defined as rule-based, but no value is computed. You can set a reasonable value for this based on such factors as material thickness, bevel depth, and so on.
