Six rows of bolts are allowed for pipe clamp. Each row consists of different offset distance from the pipe centerline and a different quantity of bolts in the row.

Bolts can be of different configurations and spacing in the row. All of the bolts are drawn with the same size, Pin1Diameter x Pin1Length.

Row 1 is the connection bolt for clamps and generally used in Rod hangers.

  • For Rod hanger pipe clamps, the quantity of bolts in row 1 cannot be zero.

  • The left-most bolt in row 1 is the connection bolt where the port is located.

  • Rows 1 and 2 are the connection bolts for Riser clamps used in Rod hangers.

  • For Riser clamps used in Rod hangers, the quantities of bolts in row 1 and 2 cannot be zero.

The following properties are similar for all Bolt rows 1 through 6.

IJUAOffset1::Offset1

Specifies the offset of each bolt row from the pipe centerline.

  • These offsets are always positive. Rows 1, 3 and 5 are always "above" the pipe centerline and Rows 2, 4, and 6 are always "below" the pipe centerline. Do not specify negative offset values.

  • Bolt rows 2, 4, and 6 cannot be used when Angle1 is set to 360-degrees.

  • Bolts are not shown on the clamp body when Multi1Qty is set to zero.

  • If Bolt row 1 contains more than one bolt, the port is located on the left-most bolt, as shown in the drawing with points that are highlighted in red.

IJUAhsMulti1::Multi1Qty

Specifies the quantity of bolts. Bolts are not shown on the pipe clamp body when Multi1Qty is set to zero. Valid cases are shown below.

IJUAhsMulti1::Multi1LocateBy

Specifies the location of the bolts. Each bolt can be located in two ways.

1 - Relative to center of the group
2 - Relative to edge.

The exact meaning depends on the quantity of bolts. This value can be 0 (nothing), 1 (center), or 2 (Edge).

Valid cases are shown below.

IJUAhsMulti1::Multi1Location

Specifies the distance for the exact location of the bolts, depending on Multi1LocateBy and Multi1Qty. This value can be either a distance to the edge, or a center-to-center spacing. Valid cases are shown below.
