Marks unneeded Smart Interop Objects in the Smart 3D model so that they can be deleted from the As-Built database in SDx. The Demolish command propagates down the hierarchy. For example, if you delete an equipment SIO, any child objects that exist for that equipment object are also demolished.

You can only demolish Smart Interop Objects that are claimed to an As-Built project.

Demolished Smart Interop Objects display in red in the Workspace Explorer and in a red wire-frame in the graphic view.

The software sets the Is Demolished property for a demolished Smart Interop Object to True. If needed, you can create a filter based on the Is Demolished property to highlight all the demolished objects in the Workspace Explorer. See Define a filter based on the Smart Interop Object Is Demolished property.

  • If errors occur during the demolish process, the software displays a message and provides a link to the error log.

  • You can select and delete a Smart Interop Object in any task if you have the appropriate permissions.

  • When you demolish a Smart Interop Object, connected objects are deleted based on the delete behavior.

  • Demolishing Smart Interop Objects can create inconsistencies in your design. However, you can recover the data and reconcile the inconsistencies by immediately clicking Undo Undo.
