Copy

Contains options for selecting input to copy, and for defining the target parent system for the new Smart 3D objects.

What to copy

Enables you to select the input to copy. Select one of the options below.

Use SIO objects in select set

Copies the linear SIO member parts and linear SIO member systems in the select set. This input method is selected by default when you start the command with a select set that contains at least one SIO member part or SIO member system.

Use filter

Copies the linear SIO member parts and linear SIO member systems in the filter you create or select.

Select

Enables you to create a filter or select an existing filter to define the input to copy.

Use system

Copies the linear SIO member parts and linear SIO member systems in the selected system.

Select

Enables you to select a system that contains linear SIO member systems and parts.

Where to place the newly created Smart 3D objects

Select one of the options below.

Same parent as original SIO object(s)

Places the copied member under the parent system of the corresponding SIO.

Select parent system

Places the copied member under the parent system you define using Select.

Select

Enables you to select a parent system for the newly created Smart 3D objects.

Test creation of objects (Optional)

Generates a conversion report. The software does not perform the copy operation and does not commit the copied object to the database. However, the software writes the properties of the copied object to the conversion report (a Microsoft Excel file that you define on the Options tab).

Copy

Starts the copy process. The progress displays in the status bar. The status bar also displays any warnings or errors the software encounters.

Cancel

Closes the dialog. If the copy operation is in progress, it is stopped.

Show Copy SIO Member to Smart 3D Report

Opens the conversion report. The software generates the conversion report during the copy process. The report lists the properties copied from the SIO object to the native object.

Show Copy SIO Member to Smart 3D Log

Opens a conversion log file generated during the copy process so that you can review information about the copied object.

Options

Configuration file for Copy SIO Member to Smart 3D

Specifies the configuration XML file to input. Click Browse Browse ... ICON, and then navigate to the configuration file to use. You can update the configuration file to obtain information about additional properties of the copied objects.

Path of conversion report (Log file is also created under the same directory)

Specifies the path to the conversion report file. The software writes a summary to this Microsoft Excel file when the copy process completes. You can enter a shared path and a file name, or click Browse Browse ... ICON to select a file. The software appends the current date and time to the user-defined file name when it creates the report.

The software logs all of the command information generated during the copy process to a log file. This log file is written to the same folder that contains the conversion report. The name format for the log file is ConversionLog_YYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS.log.
