  1. In the Management Console, right-click an item in the hierarchy and select the Properties Command on the shortcut menu.

  2. Go to the WBS Tab (Properties Dialog).

  3. Set Document Type as needed, such as Piping System Isometric or Civil Plan. This property specifies the document subtype when shared.

  4. Set Document Style, such as Iso for isometric drawing or Ortho for an orthographic drawing.

  5. Set Discipline.

    • If your model has been registered to a SmartPlant Foundation server, this property adds the Publish Command to the right-click menu for the selected document or documents. For a 3D Model Data document, the property is set to SmartPlant Review Document. For a 2D document, set the discipline to match the type of document.

    • If your model has been registered to a valid SDx server, setting the Discipline is required before sharing 2D documents to SDx.

  6. Set Project Name. This property is required for sharing 2D documents in a Change Management model for As-Built workflows. Select the change action for the active project to use. See Share 2D documents to SDx and review.

  7. Set Allow Publish to Yes.

  • If you do not want an item to acquire a property from its parent, select the Override column on the Publish Dialog, then type a new value. This value propagates to other items deeper in the hierarchy.

  • The software treats blank or cleared property values as overrides.

  • Before you can share documents, you must:

    • Install the SmartPlant Client and the SmartPlant Schema Component.

    • Use the Register Command to register your model for publishing to SmartPlant Foundation.

    • Use the Register with SDx Command to register your model for sharing 2D documents with SDx.

    • Revise and update each document.

Additional information about configuration is available in the Intergraph Smart 3D Installation Help.
