Click Insert > Coordinate System by Points.

In the Assign Axes To box, select the initial axes and plane to define.

In the Coordinate System box, select Direct.

In the Point Input mode box, select By coordinates or points.

Either select the origin point, or key in coordinates for x0, y0 and z0 for the origin point location.

Either select the point for the direction of the first axis or key in coordinates for x1, y1, and z1 for the point for the direction of the first axis.

Either select the point for the direction of the second axis or key in coordinates for x2, y2, and z2 for point for the direction of the second axis.

In the Grid Planes box, select the grid plane selection that you want, either All Grid Planes, X Grid Plane, Y Grid Plane, Z Grid Plane, or No Grid Planes.

If needed, create additional geometric constructions.

Click Finish to return to the main command ribbon.

If you stop the command before clicking Finish, the software does not save the geometric constructions to the model. When you restart the command, the following message displays, giving you the option to recover the geometric constructions:

"The previous execution of the command was not completed. Do you want to recover the 3D construction?"

The message displays only during creation of an object and is unavailable when editing an object.

The geometric constructions are not saved to the model until you click Finish on the main command ribbon to create the model object.
