The Generic Module Folder is a container component for a custom VB module. Before you perform this procedure, ensure that your created custom VB modules are stored in the \Symbols\Drawings\Catalog\DwgTypeModules folder.

  1. Right-click the folder in the hierarchy where you want to store the Generic Module Folder component, then select New > More to open the Add Component Dialog.

  2. Select the Generic Module Folder component, then click OK to create the Generic Module Component.

  3. Right-click the Generic Module Folder component and select Setup to open the Setup Dialog (Generic Module Folder Component).

  4. Specify a custom VB module from the dropdown list. Click More to display the Select Module Dialog (Generic Module Folder Component), which provides a hierarchy of modules available in the \Symbols\Drawings\Catalog\DwgTypeModules folder.

  5. Click OK to save the changes and add the new custom component to the selected folder in the hierarchy.

  6. Right-click the new custom component and use the available commands to perform operations on the component. The commands available depend entirely on the functionality provided in the VB module.
