The FTWeldSymbols.vbp project defines butt, tee, and lap weld symbols.

For butt welds, the Welding Type question impacts selection.
For tee welds, the Category question impacts selection.
You can change the Welding Type or the Category in the physical connection Properties page. The following example shows how the welding type questions change the available items.

Select a physical connection in the Workspace Explorer or model.
Smart 3D displays the Properties dialog box for the physical connection. The Welding Type information displays on the Selection tab.

Clear the Rule Based check box for Welding Type, and select a different answer, such as Manual.

Click Apply or OK.
