The StructMfgPlateProcessAndMarking.xls workbook defines the plate process and marking definition rules and symbols. The workbook is delivered to the [Product Folder]\ShipCatalogData\BulkLoad\DataFiles\StructManufacturing folder and is bulkloaded into the Catalog.

Definition Section

PartClassType

Class type SmartOccurrence defined on the PartClassTypes sheet of [Product Folder]\ShipCatalogData\BulkLoad\DataFiles\AllShipCodeLists.xls. Do not modify.

Name

Name of the smart class as it appears in the Catalog task.

SelectionRule

ProgID of the smart occurrence rule used by the smart class.

SCType

Code list value for the smart class type defined internally by the software. Do not modify.

SCSubType

Code list value for the smart class subtype defined internally by the software. Do not modify.

oa:[parameter name]

Occurrence attribute that places the named catalog attribute on the bracket Parameters tab on the Properties dialog box. The parameter also appears in the Head section.

Head Section

Name

Name of the object as it appears in the Catalog task.

SymbolDefinition

2D symbol file associated with the smart item. Parameters correspond to symbol parameters in this file.

Definition

ProgID of a definition class module within the smart occurrence rules.

ParameterRule

ProgID of a parameter class module within the smart occurrence rules.

PlateProcess Sheet

PlateUpside

The side of the plate (base or offset) which is considered the "upside" when you see the plate on the nesting (lot plate).

PlateNeutralAxis

Offset factor which controls the optimum location to calculate the plate length.

PlateUnwrapAlgorithm

The unfolding method used for non-planar plates.

PlateRollLines

The roll line method for non-planar plates.

PlateBevel

Controls bevel information depending on shop capabilities. A continuous bevel, a bevel within increments, or a fixed bevel can be used. The deviation angle determines when a segment of a physical connection should be created to provide new bevel information for that segment.

PlateWeldTab

This process is automatically based on custom rules. These can be partially solved by replacing the feature by an alternative representation defined for scallops.

The following parameters are set to use fixed values, rule-based values, or to be ignored:

PlateFeatureTab

Rule that determines if a feature requires a tab.

PlateUserDefinedValues

Software-defined constants that control the quality of the output process. The constants include tolerance and shrinkage conditions.

PlateKnuckleTab

Rule that determines if a knuckle edge requires a tab.

PlateMargin

Rule that determines if a plate part requires margin.

PlateShrinkage

Rule that determines if a plate part requires shrinkage.

PlateMarking

Rule that determines if a plate part requires a marking line.

PlateCustom

Rule that determines production category attributes for manufactured plates. The data is added to the SMS_PART_INFO XML.

PlateCutMarkControl

Rule that determines if you need to change the production condition for a feature. The conditions are cut, mark, and ignore.

PlateMarkingValidate

Rule that reviews the marking output and determines if there are duplicate marks to remove.
