Each Cutting Macro definition is separated into two main sections.

Macro output definition:

The SMS_MACRO node defines a template for the macro output XML node.

The S3D_FORMAT node specifies how to create a label output for the macro.

The S3D_CUSTOM_FORMAT node is used to specify custom output formats.

The S3D_MACRO_MAP node, which defines conditional filters that can be used to tell whether the macro definition should be used to describe a given feature. The S3D_MACRO_MAP node also defines how to calculate the value for each of the attributes in the macro output nodes.
