The following figure shows the portions of the model that you can use in your customization. It also shows the relationships between those portions of the model. The assembly hierarchy displays at the top left, as well as a plate, a profile, and a member.

Each plate, profile, and member component has access to the common part and access to production routing and production routing actions.

When you have a plate as a part of an assembly, you can either have it be a panel (a collection of manufacturing plates to be joined together), or you can have it as a single manufacturing plate. This is shown by the relationship line between the plate and the light blue box under it.

Individual manufacturing plates can have access to nesting data while the panel does not. When you have a profile or a member, it represents a single manufacturing profile. This is shown by the relationship lines coming from the profile and member; then going directly to the manufacturing profile. Manufacturing profiles can have access to nesting data.
