Displays the properties of the selected SIO member part. The property name appears on the left side of the grid and the corresponding property value appears on the right side of the grid. You can select only one SIO member part at a time.

Category

Specifies the properties category to view.

Name

Displays the name of the SIO member part.

Description

Displays a description of the SIO member part if a description is available.

Material Name

Displays material name of the SIO member part.

Material Grade

Displays material grade of the SIO member part.

Reporting Requirement

Specifies whether the selected SIO member part is reported.

Reporting Type

Specifies the reporting requirements code for the SIO member part. This value is based on the Reporting Requirement setting.

Type Category

Specifies the type category of the member, such as a beam or a column.

Specifies the type of member, such as a beam or column.

Priority

Specifies the priority assigned to the object system. Smart 3D uses the priority to group objects.

Mirror

Reflects or mirrors the cross-section about the member's local z-axis.

Beta Angle

Defines the angle by which the section is rotated about the member axis.

Start Location X

Displays the X-coordinates of the start of the SIO member part relative to the active coordinate system.

Start Location Y

Displays the Y-coordinates of the start of the SIO member part relative to the active coordinate system.

Start Location Z

Displays the Z-coordinates of the start of the SIO member part relative to the active coordinate system.

End Location X

Displays the X-coordinates of the end of the SIO member part relative to the active coordinate system.

End Location Y

Displays the Y-coordinates of the end of the SIO member part relative to the active coordinate system.

End Location Z

Displays the Z-coordinates of the end of the SIO member part relative to the active coordinate system.

Volume

Displays the volume of the SIO member part.

Length

Displays the length of the member without cutbacks applied. You cannot change this value.

Tag Type

Displays the SIO member part’s short code.

Tag Class

Displays the engineering tag if one is assigned.

Specific Type1

Specifies additional type information for the SIO member part if any information is available.

Specific Type2

Specifies additional type information for the SIO member part if any information is available.

Specific Type3

Specifies additional type information for the SIO member part if any information is available.

Specific Type4

Specifies additional type information for the SIO member part if any information is available.

Specific Type5

Specifies additional type information for the SIO member part if any information is available.

Surface Area

Specifies the surface area of the SIO member part.

Cut Length

Specifies the length of the SIO member part with cutbacks applied. You cannot change this value. A cutback is that part of a member removed by an assembly connection or by a manually placed trim (a cope, for example).

Piece Mark

Specifies the piece mark of the SIO member part. If a piece mark is displayed here, more than likely it is the identity of the manufactured part from another software package.

Assembly Mark

Specifies the assembly mark of the SIO member part. The assembly mark is usually the identity of the manufactured assembly to which the SIO member part belongs.

Weight per unit length

Specifies the weight of the section. The unit weight is defined in mass per length pound per foot (lbm/ft).

Cardinal Point

Specifies the relative position of the structural cross-section to the member placement line. Nine cardinal positions (1-9) are available. The location of cardinal points 10 (center-of-gravity) and 15 (shear center) depend on the section shape. The local z-axis of the member and the center-of-gravity point of the section define cardinal points 11 and 14. The local y-axis of the member and the center-of-gravity point of the section define cardinal points 12 and 13. Cardinal points 10 through 15 are unavailable for designed members or cans.

Section Standard

Specifies the cross-section standard of the SIO member part.

Section Type

Specifies the cross section type of the SIO member part.

Section Name

Specifies the section name of the SIO member part.

Work Center

Specifies the work center of the SIO member part.
