Specifies the properties for the opening that you are placing or editing.

STRUCT Add Material Ribbon

Properties

Opens the SmartInteropWallPart Properties Dialog if you are working with a SIO wall. The SmartInteropSlab Properties Dialog opens if you are working with a SIO slab. You can use this dialog to specify opening properties that you cannot set on the ribbon.

 Structure

Select the SIO slab or SIO wall in which to place the opening.

SketchingPlaneMarkingi Sketching Plane

Select the plane on the object on which to draw the opening.

Sketch 2D

Opens the Structure Draft 2D environment, where you can draw the opening shape. You can draw more than one opening at a time.

Finish

Places the opening using the defined parameters.

 Accept

Confirms the objects that you have selected.

 Cancel

Rejects the objects that you have selected.

Operation

Specifies whether to add or remove the opening.

Place Opening

Places the opening in the selected SIO wall or SIO slab.

Remove Opening

Removes the opening from the selected SIO wall or SIO slab.

Cutting Limit

Specifies the cutting depth method for the opening.

User Defined

Select to specify the penetration depth of the opening. The cutting depth is applied equally in both normal and opposite of normal of the sketching plane.

Cutting Limit User Defined

Through-All

Select to completely penetrate the object in which the opening is placed.

Along the Normal

Select to apply the cutting depth along the normal of the sketching plane as indicated by the arrow.

Cutting Limit Along the Normal

Opposite to Normal

Select to apply the cutting depth in the opposite direction of the normal of the sketching plane as indicated by the arrow.

Cutting Depth

Specifies the cutting depth for the opening. The software measures the depth from the sketching plane that you specified. Be sure to define a cutting depth that intersects the structure. The cutting depth is indicated by the arrow in the graphic view.
