Places a tap on components in the model. A tap is used to drain, vent, or attach an instrument to a piping component.
-
You cannot modify the permission group or approval state for a tap.
-
A tap inherits the permission group and approval state from its parent part. For example, if you insert a tap on a turn feature, the tap inherits the permission group and approval state of the turn feature. If you modify the permission group or approval state of turn feature, the software applies the same changes to the tap.
-
To apply the permission group and approval state of a pipe run to an associated tap, select the pipe run in the workspace explorer hierarchy, right-click on the pipe run, and click Select Nested. The software updates the permission group and approval state of the selected objects.
