Color Preferences
Specifies color preferences for your model.
Background Top
Specifies the upper color for the 3D model background. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Background Bottom
Specifies the lower color for the 3D model background. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Annotation
Specifies the color for annotations generated with a Smart 3Dx command. These annotations can include linear or angular dimensions and labels or other graphics to aid in modeling. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Global Select
Specifies the color of objects selected with Select or Select by Filter.When you move the cursor over selected objects, their color changes from the select color to the highlight color temporarily. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Global Highlight
Specifies the color of objects when you move the cursor over them in a graphical view or in the hierarchy explorer. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Dynamics
Specifies the color of objects displaying in dynamics in the model. Objects in dynamics have not yet been written to the model. For example, an object that you are moving from one location to another displays in dynamics until you finish the move. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Command Select

Handles
Specifies the color of the circles that display at the corners of objects that you can enlarged or reduced by dragging with the cursor. Click the arrow to select a different color. The color displays on the Preview so that you can verify that it does not conflict with your other selections. To return to the default color, click Default on the color picker. If you need additional colors, click More Colors on the color picker. This option is on the 3D Model Tab (Options Dialog).
Point Grid
Allows you to adjust spacing between the major and minor points of a Point Grid in the workspace.
Primary Point Distance
Specifies the distance between the primary points.
Secondary Point Spacing
Specifies the number of equally spaced secondary points between the primary points.
Style Preferences
Sets options for applying new view styles to the workspace.
3D View Style for All Views
Lists all the currently available view styles you can apply to the active view. The selected style is applied to all views when you click Apply.
Delete
Deletes the selected view style from the 3D View Style for All Views list.
Modify
Allows you to edit the selected view style.
Reset to default
Restores all settings to show their default values.
