Import equipment from a file - Intergraph Smart 3D - Help - Hexagon

Select Piping Tab > Design Equipment Command to display the Design Equipment Controls.

Select Browse Catalog to display the Select from Catalog Dialog.

Browse the catalog and select the designed equipment to place, and then select OK.

Select the parent system.

Select the naming rule to use.

Select in the model to define the equipment origin.

Select Import Shape at the bottom of the Place Design Equipment controls to display the Import Shape Dialog.

Browse to the .SAT, DGN, or VUE file to import. Select the file, and select Open to display the Place Import Shape dialog .

Select the naming rule to use.

Select in the model to define the final placement relative to the origin you defined.

Complete the placement:

• Select Finish or press CTRL + ENTER to save your changes and exit the command.

• Select Finish and Modify or press CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then start the modification of that object.

• Select Finish and Repeat or press SHIFT + ENTER to save your changes, and then restart the command using the same options.
