  1. Select New Pipe Run S3D_Pipe_Run ICON in Route Pipe Command, Quick Pipe Command, or Insert Pipe Component Command to display the Pipe Run Controls.

  2. Select the Parent System for the pipe run.

    • Select Select from Workspace Select from Workspace ICON from the list and navigate the hierarchy to the pipeline system to use. The workspace is the subset of the active model database you specified when you started your design session.

    • Select Select from Model Select from Model ICON from the list and navigate the hierarchy to the pipe line system to use. The model is all the objects in the active model database, including those that are not part of your workspace.

    • Select Select Interactively to select the parent pipeline system in the System Hierarchy Explorer.

  3. Select defaults for the new pipe run.

    • S3D_Pipe_System ICON Piping System Defaults uses the parent piping system properties as the defaults for the pipe run.

    • S3D_Pipeline ICON Pipeline Defaults uses the parent pipeline system properties as the defaults for the pipe run.

    • S3D_Pipe_Run ICON Pipe Run Defaults uses the properties from an existing pipe run as the defaults for the new pipe run.

    • Last Used Defaults uses the last saved properties for the pipe run.

  4. Select Mandatory Properties Com_ManageProperties ICON.

  5. Specify the specification, NPD, and service limits to meet your requirements.

  6. Select Insulation Properties CADWorx_Insulation_Manager.

  7. Select the Insulation Type and the insulation properties, if needed.

  8. Complete the placement:

    • Select Finish (CTRL + ENTER) to save your changes and exit the command.

    • Select Finish and Modify Finish Modify ICON (CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER) to save your changes and then start the modification of that object.
