Displays when you select multiple objects in the model or a single object that does not have its own modification controls.
The Modify Selection dialog displays different controls based on whether your select set contains the same object type and parent system, contains different object types from different parent systems, or contains a single object.
Locked
Indicates that one or more objects in the select set is locked. The list of locked objects displays when you select Move or Rotate . You cannot move or rotate the select set until you remove all the locked objects. Objects are locked in the following situations:

You do not have Write permissions to one or more objects.

One or more of the selected objects is not in a working state.
-
The padlock does not display for select sets that contain the same object types or objects in the same parent system.
Modify Selection
Allows you to add or remove objects from the select set. This control is not available for select sets containing objects of the same type.
Move
Displays the Move. Move is unavailable in the following cases:

The objects in the select set are the same type or are from the same parent system.

The select set contains locked objects.
Rotate
Displays the Rotate Controls. Rotate is unavailable in the following cases:

The objects in the select set are the same type or are from the same parent system.
-
The select set contains locked objects.
Copy By Base Point
Displays the Copy by Base Point Controls.
Paste
Displays the Paste Controls. This command is unavailable if the Clipboard is empty.
Mirror Copy
Displays the Mirror Copy Controls.
General
Parent System
Specifies the parent system for the object. This control is not available for select sets with different object types or from different parent systems.
Select Parent System Interactively
Displays the parent system of the selected objects.
Display All Values

Opens the Properties Editor Dialog showing the property values for all the selected objects. The column for the property you selected in the Properties view scrolls into view and is temporarily highlighted.

Name
Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, TagName Rule displays. If you enter a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined. The objects must be the same type.
Display All Values

Completion
Cancel (ESC)
Cancels all changes and exits the command.
Finish (CTRL + ENTER)
Saves all changes and exits the command.
Finish and Modify (CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER)
Saves all changes, and then selects the objects for modification.
To Do List Indicators
A To Do List indicator displays in the top right corner of the Modify dialog when you select one or more objects that are on the To Do List. The icons that display are the same icons used in the To Do List Dialog (SHIFT + T), and the Modify dialog displays the most critical status (Error , Out -of Date , and Warning ). Select the icon on the Modify dialog to open the To Do List Dialog (SHIFT + T) and make the necessary corrections.
Error
Indicates a serious problem.
Out of Date
Indicates that the related business object could not be processed. For example, the user does not have Write access to the object.
Warning
Indicates a problem that might not be serious, but still needs to be checked.
Locked Objects
Locked
Indicates one of the following situations:

You do not have Write permissions to one or more objects.
-
One or more of the selected objects is not in a working state.
Set the Approval State property to Working, and you must have Write permissions to the object. Otherwise, you cannot modify the selection.
