Shows the objects in the workspace grouped by project, contract, area, and so forth.
Search
Specifies the name of the object to find. You can use the wildcard character * to find items whose names contain part of the text that you type. For example, you can type *pump*, *pump, and pump*. Smart 3Dx creates a list of your recent searches so that you can easily use them again.
After the software runs the search, it displays the results in the Selection Browser.
Context Menu
Smart 3Dx provides a menu of commands appropriate to the current location of your cursor. To display this menu, right-click.
If you right-click a node that isn't selected, the software checks to see if the node matches the active filter. If it matches, Smart 3Dx selects the node, clearing any previous selection. To display the context menu for the unselected node without changing the current selection, press CTRL as you right-click. For more information on setting the filter, see Set the active filter.
Expand All
Opens all of the nodes in the tree below the highlighted node.
Expand in New Tree
Opens the highlighted node in a new tab with the highlighted node as the root node.
Collapse All
Closes the highlighted node.
Select Nested
Selects all items that match the active filter and are nested below the selected node. The selected items highlight in the Graphic View and display in the Selection Browser.
When you click Select Nested, the software clears the current selection, compares the items nested below the selected node with the active filter, and selects those items that match. Press SHIFT + Select Nested to add the items that match the filter to the selection (rather than replacing the selection with the new items).
Select Children
Selects all items nested below the highlighted node, and then selects the children of those nodes from other hierarchies. The selected items highlight in the Graphic View and display in the Selection Browser.
If you have multiple nodes selected, you can press CTRL + Select Children to select the children of all of the selected nodes. If you have multiple nodes selected, and click Select NChildren without pressing CTRL, Smart 3Dx selects only the children of the node under your cursor.
Show
Turns on the display for the selected objects that are currently hidden. When you select Show for a parent object, Smart 3Dx also shows all of the children belonging to that object.
Hide
Turns off the display for the selected objects that are currently shown. When you select Hide for a parent object, Smart 3Dx also hides all of the children belonging to that parent.
Hidden objects display the icon in the Explorer.
Show All Hidden Objects
Turns on the display for all hidden objects.
Delete
Removes the selected items from the model. If you have selected multiple items, Delete removes all of the selected items from the model.
Smart 3Dx displays a confirmation message after completing the deletion. You can reverse this operation by immediately clicking Undo (CTRL + Z) .
