Nozzle Table displays the nozzles associated with the selected equipment or equipment component object in a spreadsheet format. The spreadsheet displays the properties of each nozzle associated with the equipment object. Click the tabs along the top of the dialog to display different categories of nozzles. For example, an equipment object could have both piping and cable nozzles. When you select a nozzle in the table, the software highlights the nozzle in the Graphic View and displays its corresponding graphic dimensions.
Selecting multiple nozzles in the table only highlights each nozzle in the Graphic View. No graphic dimensions display.
Click the filter in the column header to narrow the list of nozzles. You can also drag column headers to the space above the spreadsheet grid to group the nozzles by the selected column. For example, if you group by the End Preparation column, you can select a nozzle based on the end preparation. If you also select to group by Termination Class, you can view the nozzles based on the end preparation and then based on the termination class. Drag the columns back to the spreadsheet to ungroup the nozzles.
Add
Adds a new nozzle with default properties as the last row in the spreadsheet. If you select a row in the spreadsheet before clicking Add , the new nozzle inherits the properties of the nozzle in the selected row. You can then edit the properties of the new nozzle to meet your project requirements.
Edit
Displays when you are editing a selected property. Double-click a box to edit the property value.
Delete
Deletes the selected nozzle from the table.
Select the row that contains the nozzle to delete. Right-click anywhere in the selected row, and then click Delete . If any of the following conditions exist, the nozzle cannot be deleted:
-
You do not have permissions on the nozzle.
-
The nozzle is in a non-working state.
-
The Behavior Controlled by User property for the nozzle is set to False.
-
When a nozzle cannot be deleted, the software displays a message indicating the reason for the failure.
-
If you select multiple nozzles, only those with the Behavior Controlled by User property set to True and for which you have permissions are deleted.
Choose Columns
Limits the property columns that display in the spreadsheet. By limiting the properties that display, you can more easily find and edit relevant or frequently modified properties.
For each nozzle type, the software displays a set of default columns in the grid. Click Choose Columns to open the column list. To add a column of data to the grid, select its check box. Clear the check box to remove the column from the grid. The following example shows the columns that are selected to display.
Any changes that you make to the column configuration on each nozzle tab, such as reordering columns or adding and removing columns to and from the grid, are saved automatically when you exit the dialog.
Export to file
Saves the rows, columns, and the values in those rows and columns to an external file.
Nozzle Dimensions and Orientation Preview
Displays a preview image of the nozzle currently selected in the table. The software bases the image on the nozzle type and its respective placement type. The preview displays beneath the spreadsheet grid and shows nozzle dimensions (1) and nozzle orientation (2). Click to show the preview. To hide the preview, click .
-
The nozzle dimensions preview image does not display for a foundation port.
