Displays properties for assembly blocks. An assembly block is a collection of blocks, assemblies, structural parts, equipment, outfitting parts, and outfitting assemblies (such as pipe spools, HVAC, and so forth) and is a child of the top-level block or another assembly block.

The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Board Side

Specifies the board of the assembly. The list contains all available values as defined in the reference data, typically Center, Starboard Side, Port Side, and Both Sides. Default value is Center.

Build Equipment Name

Specifies the primary equipment used to join the elements of the assembly. The list contains all available build equipment as defined in the reference data. Examples of build equipment include jig floors and bending equipment. Build equipment can be changed at the assembly element level by clicking Sequence Form Sequence Form ICON on the Sequence ribbon. See Sequence.

Build and Weld as Sequenced

Specifies if you want to weld objects as they are joined in the assembly sequence. Select True to weld each object as it is joined, and select False to join all objects together before welding.

Comments

Specifies comments regarding the workcenter and work process assignment or any other issue pertinent to the block.

Created by

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Dry Center of Gravity

Specifies the location of the dry center-of-gravity for the object.

Dry Weight

Specifies the dry weight of the object.

Exit Equipment Name

Specifies the crane or transport equipment within the assigned workcenter that moves the finished assembly to its next assembly stage and workcenter. The list contains all available exit equipment as defined in the reference data.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Last Modified by

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Name

Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.

Orientation Base Plate Name

Specifies the name of the base plate.

Stage

Specifies the construction stage of a block from a facility-defined rule set. The list contains all available stages as defined in the reference data. Examples of stages include part production, assembly of subassemblies, assembly of sections with outfitting, and assembly of sections before painting. If no stage is defined, <None> is displayed. The list is defined by the AssemblyStage codelist.

Type

Specifies the type of planning assembly, such as block, assembly, or pipe spool. The list contains all available assembly types, as defined in the reference data. The list is defined by the AssemblyType codelist.

Weld Equipment Name

Specifies weld equipment used within the assigned workcenter when welding weld defined using Generate Planning Joints . The list contains all available weld equipment as defined in the reference data.

Wet Center of Gravity

Specifies the location of the wet center-of-gravity for the object.

Work Center Name

Specifies the assigned assembly workcenter from a facility-defined rule set. The list contains all available workcenters regardless of their level in the workcenter hierarchy. Examples of workcenters include docks, shops, bays, and panel lines. Workcenters may also be areas and zones where a block is assembled from multiple assemblies.

X

Specifies the location of the point on the X-axis.

XFrames

Specifies the setting for the frames along the X-axis in the manufacturing frame system.

Y

Specifies the location of the point on the Y-axis.

YFrames

Specifies the setting for the frames along the Y-axis in the manufacturing frame system.

Z

Specifies the location of the point on the Z-axis.

ZFrames

Specifies the setting for the frames along the Z-axis in the manufacturing frame system.
