Smart 3D Version
13.1

Displays properties for conduit systems. A conduit system is a collection of conduit runs. The conduit system specifies the default specification for conduit runs in that system.

The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Auxiliary Treatment Requirement

Specifies the auxiliary treatment requirement. To change the options on the list, edit the Auxiliary Treatment select list in Catalog.

Rule Driven

Specifies that a rule drives the value. This is the default option. Click to switch to User Driven .

User Driven

Allows you to select a value. Click to switch to Rule Driven .

Cleaning Requirement

Specifies the cleaning requirement for the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Cleaning Requirement select list in Catalog.

Cleaning Responsibility

Specifies the party responsible for cleaning the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Cleaning Responsibility select list in Catalog.

Coating Color

Specifies the color of the object coating. To change the options on the list, edit the Coating Color select list in Catalog. Smart 3Dx includes this property in the painting area report.

Rule Controlled

Specifies that a rule defined for a parent property controls the value. If Rule Controlled does not display, you can select a value.

Created by

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Design Responsibility

Specifies the party responsible for designing the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Design Responsibility select list in Catalog.

Dry Center of Gravity

Specifies the location of the dry center-of-gravity for the object.

Dry Weight

Specifies the dry weight of the object.

Exterior Coating Area

Specifies the area of the coating for the object.

Exterior Coating Requirement

Specifies the coating requirement for the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Coating Type select list in Catalog.

Rule Driven

Specifies that a rule drives the value. This is the default option. Click to switch to User Driven .

User Driven

Allows you to select a value. Click to switch to Rule Driven .

Exterior Surface Treatment Requirement

Specifies the exterior treatment requirement for the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Exterior Surface Treatment select list in Catalog.

Fabrication Responsibility

Specifies the party responsible for fabricating the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Fabrication Responsibility select list in Catalog.

Fill Efficiency

Specifies the efficiency of the stacking of cables in the cableway. Type a real number, integer, or percent. For example, type 0.9, 90, or 90%.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Installation Responsibility

Specifies the party responsible for installing the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Installation Responsibility select list in Catalog.

Interior Coating Area

Specifies the area of the interior coating for the object.

Interior Coating Requirement

Specifies the interior coating requirement for the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Coating Type sheet in the AllCodeLists.xls workbook in the reference data.

Interior Surface Treatment Requirement

Specifies the interior treatment requirement for the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Interior Surface Treatment select list in Catalog.

Last Modified by

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Minimum Slope

Specifies the minimal slope value for the pipe run. You can specify the slope as a ratio, a percentage, or in degrees.

ratio

If a run drops 1/4" for every foot of horizontal distance, specify the slope as 1/4"/1'-0".

percentage

If a run drops 1" for every 10" of horizontal distance, specify the slope as 10%.

degrees

A five-degree slope can be specified as 5deg.

When routing a sloped pipe, use a slope value that is larger than the Minimum Slope for the pipe run to avoid Invalid Slope Angle To-Do-Record (TDR). The software compares design slope and minimum slope of the pipe run. If there is a difference between the values caused by any modification, the software generates a TDR.

Nominal Diameter

Specifies the nominal pipe diameter (NPD) to use for this pipe run. The pipe specification controls the available NPDs in this list. If you select an equipment nozzle as the starting point of your pipe run, the software automatically uses the NPD of the nozzle as the NPD of the pipe run. You can select the NPD units to display on a session file basis using the Menu Com_Menu > Options Command on the Units of Measure Tab (Options Dialog).

Name

Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.

Painting Responsibility

Specifies the party responsible for painting the object. To change the options on the list, edit the Painting Responsibility select list in Catalog.

Parent System

Specifies the parent system for the object. Recently used systems that are appropriate to assign as the parent system for this object display in the list along with the Select from Workspace and Select from Model options. The most recently used system displays at the top.

The parent system of the object must have an Approval Status of Working before you can change the Parent System value. If the Approval Status of the parent system is not set to Working, this value is read-only.

Select Interactively

Turns on or off the interactive selection. When this option is on, you can select the parent object in a graphic view or any of the explorers.

Select from Workspace ICON Select from Workspace

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Workspace tab open. The workspace is the subset of the active model database you specified when you started your design session. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Select from Model ICON Select from Model

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Model tab open. The model is all of the objects in the active model database, including those that are not part of your workspace. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.
