Displays properties for duct transition features. The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Corner Radius

Specifies the allowable measurement for the corner radius.

Created by

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Cross Section Shape

Specifies the shape of the object cross section.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Dimension Base Outer

Specifies the outer dimension of the base of the nozzle.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Insulation Material

Specifies the material of the insulation.

Piping

If you selected Not Insulated in the Insulation Specification box, you cannot change the value in the Insulation Material box. However, if you manually entered the insulation specification, you must provide a corresponding insulation material as per the specification. If you selected an insulation specification from the available list, the software automatically displays the corresponding material as per the specification.

HVAC

If you select Not Insulated, you cannot change the information in Insulation Thickness.

Select More to select an insulation material from the Catalog. To change the options on the list, edit the Insulation Material select list in Catalog. See Select Insulation Material Dialog.

Insulation Purpose

Specifies the purpose of the insulation. If you selected Not Insulated in the Insulation Specification box, you cannot change the information in the Insulation Purpose box. However, if Insulation Specification is manually defined, you can select the purpose of the insulation in this box. If Insulation Specification is a selected reference data insulation specification, the software reads the purpose from the insulation specification from the reference data and displays it here.

To change the options on the list, edit the Insulation Purpose select list in Catalog.

Insulation Temperature

Specifies the temperature. Include the temperature unit of measure (K for Kelvin, F for Fahrenheit, or C for Celsius for example) when specifying this value.

Insulation Thickness

Specifies the thickness of the insulation.

Piping

If you selected Not Insulated in the Insulation Specification box, you cannot change the value in the Insulation Thickness box. However, if you manually entered the insulation specification, you must provide a corresponding insulation thickness value as per the specification. If you selected an insulation specification from the available list, the software automatically displays the corresponding thickness value as per the specification.

HVAC

If you selected Not Insulated in the Insulation Material box, this property is unavailable.

Last Modified by

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Part Type

Specifies the part type of the manufacturing object.

Shape Depth

Specifies the depth of the nozzle shape.

Shape Width

Specifies the width of the nozzle shape.

Tightness

Specifies the water tightness of the object. This value is inherited from the parent system.

Transition Length or Angle

Specifies the default transition angle used to calculate transition length. Type a value in the current angle measurement. The software uses this value to calculate transition length by using the following formula:

L = (W1 - W2) / tan x (where x is equal to this transition wall angle that you define)

Editing the transition angle does not affect any transitions that you placed previously. To modify the transition angle for existing transitions, use the Edit Properties page for the transition objects. The default transition length is 15 degrees.

Transition Type

Specifies the type of transition.

Wall Thickness

Specifies the thickness of the object.
