Displays properties for hole traces. Hole traces are associated with the outfitting part and the structural part. If either the outfitting parts or the structure is modified, the software automatically updates the hole trace.

The order in which the properties display in your view depends on your configuration.

Application

Specifies the discipline associated with the hole trace. For example, if the hole trace is the result of a pipe penetrating a structure, then Piping appears. Similarly, if the hole trace is the result of a HVAC duct, then HVAC appears. The list is defined by the HoleRequestApp codelist.

Approval State

Specifies the status of the selected object or filter. Changing this property sets the Status. The display depends on your access level. You might be unable to change the status of the object. The list is defined by the ApprovalStatus codelist.

Smart 3Dx saves an object to the database when you change that object's status. Use Undo (CTRL + Z) to reverse the status change.

You can only edit or manipulate an object with a status of Working.

Centroid X

Specifies the coordinate along the X-axis for the centroid of the hole trace. The following example indicates the centroid of an elliptical hole trace.

Centroid Y

Specifies the coordinate along the Y-axis for the centroid of the hole trace. The following example indicates the centroid of an elliptical hole trace.

Centroid Z

Specifies the coordinate along the Z-axis for the centroid of the hole trace. The following example indicates the centroid of an elliptical hole trace.

Corner Radius

Specifies the radius of the hole trace corners. This parameter only applies to rectangular hole traces.

Created by

Specifies the name of the person who created the object.

Cutout Design Type

Specifies the design opening property for the opening or hole. The default value is Permanent Access. The list is defined by the CutoutDesignType codelist.

Cutout Planning Method

Specifies the planning opening property for the opening or hole. The default value is Design. The list is defined by the CutoutPlanningMethod codelist.

Cutout Production Method

Specifies the production opening property for the opening or hole. The default value is Cut. The list is defined by the CutoutProductionMethod codelist.

Date Created

Specifies the creation date of the object.

Date Last Modified

Specifies the date of the last modification to the object.

Diameter

Specifies the diameter of the hole trace. This parameter only applies to circular hole traces.

Hyperlink

Specifies the URL or local file path associated with the object. Click the hyperlink to open the page or object in your default browser. Point to the hyperlink to display the URL or path as a tooltip.

Description

Specifies the descriptive text associated with the hyperlink.

URL

Specifies the web address or local file name associated with the hyperlink. The URL must include the protocol, such as http: or https:, as well as the domain name. For example, https://hexagonppm.com/.

Last Modified by

Specifies the name of the person who last modified the object.

Length

Specifies the major axis dimension of the hole trace. This parameter applies only to rectangular or elliptical hole traces.

Length Direction X

Specifies a coordinate along the X-axis for the length direction vector of the hole trace. The following example indicates the length direction for an elliptical hole trace.

Length Direction Y

Specifies a coordinate along the Y-axis for the length direction vector of the hole trace. The following example indicates the length direction for an elliptical hole trace.

Length Direction Z

Specifies a coordinate along the Z-axis for the length direction vector of the hole trace. The following example indicates the length direction for an elliptical hole trace.

Name

Specifies the name of the selected object. If the name is too long to entirely display in the box, point to the box to display the complete name as a tool tip. If the name is not defined by a rule, User Defined displays. If this name is generated by a naming rule, Naming Rule displays. If you type a name in this box, Smart 3Dx automatically changes the naming rule to User Defined.

Normal X

Specifies a coordinate along the X-axis for the normal vector of the hole trace.

Normal Y

Specifies a coordinate along the Y-axis for the normal vector of the hole trace.

Normal Z

Specifies a coordinate along the Z-axis for the normal vector of the hole trace.

Override Flag

Specifies whether the symmetry flag set by the board management service has been manually overwritten by the user.

Parent System

Specifies the parent system for the object. Recently used systems that are appropriate to assign as the parent system for this object as well as the Select from Workspace and Select from Model options display in the list. The most recently used system displays at the top.

The parent system of the object must have an Approval Status of Working before you can change the Parent System value. If the Approval Status of the parent system is not set to Working, this value is read-only.

Select Interactively

Turns on or off the interactive selection. When this option is on, you can select the parent object in a graphic view or any of the explorers.

Select from Workspace ICON Select from Workspace

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Workspace tab open. The workspace is the subset of the active model database you specified when you started your design session. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Select from Model ICON Select from Model

Displays the Select Parent System Dialog with the Model tab open. The model is all of the objects in the active model database, including those that are not part of your workspace. Navigate the hierarchy to select the parent system, and then click OK.

Shape

Specifies the shape of the hole trace. Available shapes are: User Defined, Circular, Elliptical, and Rectangular.

Symmetry

Specifies the symmetry value for the part. The symmetry value is determined by Tools > Board Management Service in Structural Detailing.

Width

Specifies the minor axis dimension of the hole trace. This parameter only applies to rectangular or elliptical hole traces.
