Hardware and software recommendations

Breaking changes:

  • When sending an OAuth authorization request to Smart API Manager, you must use the OAuth scope parameter to provide the service ID. The nonstandard resource parameter is no longer supported by Smart API Manager.

  • We dropped support for older versions of database software and server operating systems. For the list of supported software, see Smart API Manager Hardware and Software Recommendations.

Bundled third-party components

  • The following third-party packages were upgraded to resolve vulnerabilities:

    • AngularJS - Upgraded to supported version 1.9.7 from XLTS.dev provider

    • Duende IdentityServer - Upgraded to supported version 7.0.6

    • Sustainsys.Saml2 - Upgraded to supported version 2.10.0

    • ODP.NET - Upgraded to supported version 23.1.0.0

    • Microsoft - Multiple packages upgraded to supported versions

    • NLog - Multiple packages upgraded to supported versions

  • We now install Microsoft .NET 8 runtime and C++ runtime, Oracle ODP.NET, and the Sustainsys.Saml2 library. For a list of bundled third-party components and the versions installed, see What's Installed.

Identity provider configuration

Breaking change:

  • We have upgraded the security token service to Duende IdentityServer version 7.x. For more information, see Duende IdentityServer.

Smart API Manager web client

  • To help ensure the security of your data and systems, we have removed the Smart API Explorer from Smart API Manager as well as the <service root>/doc endpoint.
