A flange connects pipes, valves, pumps and other equipment to form a piping system. Flange joints are formed by bolting two flanges together.

The Flange joint manager consists of all the information related to Flanges and Flange joints used with in Smart Completions. You can create new Flange Joints and add all the required information in detail about each joint.

Upload files to Planned Flange Joint Tasks

  1. In the Flange Joint Tasks Manager, select a task ID of any state.

  2. In the Edit Task Completion window, select Files tab.

  3. In the Files tab, fill the information of your upload in the Caption section.

  4. Select Offline Mobile.

    SHARED Tip This enables the file attachment to download using the mobile application.

  5. Select Upload icon, and browse and select the required file to attach using the Choose File option.

    SHARED Tip A warning message is displayed, If the File Size is more than 3MB you cannot download the file using mobile application.

  6. Click OK. The files are uploaded successfully.

To verify the uploaded files, select the Files tab from the secondary panel, this will show all the attachments of the selected task. To search the flange joint tasks which have attachments, select Task Attachments > Yes from the side search panel, and click Search. This returns the results with all tasks with attachments.

Using the Files tab, you can now upload any number of attachments.

When a task or certificate is in originated or submitted state, you can upload files to the tasks or certificate if you have Edit Right to vTasks_FlangeJoints. In addition, if a task is moved to closed or completed state, you will need Manage rights to vTasks_FlangeJoints. Without the relevant rights, you cannot upload any files to the tasks.
