You can update the Project Configuration data to use the PBS structure. You must update the Project Configuration data based on the PBS level you assigned in the Assign CWP/WP to box of the Smart Construction Custom PBS Utility tool. You must update the values in the project configuration workbook and import the new values into Smart Construction. For more information on configuring Project Configuration data, see Import project configuration data into Smart Construction.
In order to use the PBS item names in the Smart Construction user interface, you must edit the user interface item name in the client resource file and compile the resource file. For more information on localizing Smart Construction, see Localize Smart Construction.
For example, you can update the PBS item name in the CWPArea column in the Contract_CWP tab of the ProjectConfiguration.xls workbook to reflect the PBS level you assigned in the Assign CWP/WP to box of the Smart Construction Custom PBS Utility tool. After updating the value in the in the CWPArea column in the Contract_CWP tab of the ProjectConfiguration.xls workbook, import the new values into Smart Construction. Once configured, the PBS items are available in the Design Area list in the IWP Overview window.
